CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) | Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) | Birth & Postpartum Doula (12+ years)

Over the last twelve years, I’ve walked with families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and everything in between.

First as a Doula and Birth Educator, and now as a Midwife. My heart has always been to help parents feel supported, seen, and equipped to make confident, well-informed decisions for their growing families.

But my story didn’t start with a textbook… it started with a birth that left me with more questions than answers.

After my first baby arrived, I realized how much vital information wasn’t being shared by care providers.

By the time my second was on the way, I devoured every book I could find and hired a doula. His birth was everything I hoped for and it lit a fire in me to help other women find their own strength and voice in birth.

Then came more babies.

Then came twins. Then came the NICU.

Our first set of twins arrived at 34 weeks and launched us into a whirlwind of wires, beeping monitors, postpartum recovery, and life with medically fragile preemies. Just as we found our rhythm (if you could call it that), we were surprised with a second set of twins. More bedrest, more NICU, and a global pandemic to top it off.

In the middle of all the chaos, one truth became clear: there is a massive gap in support for families. From pregnancy through that critical first year.

The Catching House was created to close that gap.

Formerly known as Two Roads Birth Services, I’ve expanded my offerings to provide Spokane families with full-spectrum care that starts before the baby is born and continues through the first year.

From personalized Midwife Support and Placenta Encapsulation to Lactation help and Motherhood Mentoring.

I’m here for the real stuff. The in-between stuff.

The late-night questions, the anxious moments, and the quiet wins that no one else sees.

A NOD TO MY ROOTS

The Catching House

My grandmother ran a thriving midwifery clinic in Ethiopia—called The Catching House. I didn’t know that until I was already deep into this work, but when I found out, it felt like a holy echo. Carrying on her legacy feels like exactly what I was meant to do.
